True or false (if there is a forest fire making another fire to burn each other out) true or false?

Is this what they call back burning? When fires are so hazardous this would probably be unwise. When the wind turns sometimes the fire may go out because it turns back on paddocks already burnt and there is effectively no fuel.True or false (if there is a forest fire making another fire to burn each other out) true or false?
true. You are not necessarily starting another big fire, you are just burning from a controlled point in front of the head of the fire (the big fire), so that the big fire will run out of fuel. However, these points are mostly chosen by the incident commander or one of the people high up on the chain of command, since they need to be up to date on wind speed and weather. The point for the backfire also has some type of control, so the fire goes in the direction as planned and blocks movement in another direction (such as a road or an area cleared out by bulldozers or chainsaws).
